The Theme Is: Psychedelia 1960-1975

There’s a picture of yours truly and a friend around the age of 12 hanging around in my room with this LP by my side. This song really stuck out for me. I think the staccato guitar intro is what did it, followed by the overall mood of the song. Jimi crying out in loneliness.

Think Twice (X Version)
Lavern Baker & Jackie Wilson

Artist: Lavern Baker & Jackie Wilson
Track: Think Twice
Album: 45 rpm?
Year: 1966

The Theme Is: Expletives

I love Lavern Baker, as well as Sugar Pie Desanto for their gutsy vocals and R&B roots.  So, yes, back in 1966 this song was recorded, not played on the air, except for the version with the clean lyrics. This is as raunchy as anything by any fringe artist today. Listen to it through and through, this is 1966!!!
